  • Kathy Gruver's new book, The Alternative Medicine Cabinet, is a wonderful addition to my health and wellness library. I recommend this easy-to-follow reference to everyone as a daily guide to maintain their own health naturally. I am honored to welcome her to the community of smart amazing women who have been our guests on WomenSpeak. Thank you Kathy for your good work.

  • I found the book to be inspiring and one thing I really enjoyed was the positive attitude” message. Dr. Gruver makes it abundantly clear that our minds have a lot of power in our lives. As the saying goes, “you are what you eat,” we are reminded in this book that we are what we think too. The author has a sensible writing style, easy to read, understand and easy to follow ideas and solutions, most of which I would say are preventative measures. When I sat down to look at this book I was taken in right away and ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. This is a great book and guide for someone who wants to learn how to take charge of their own health in a natural way, ways to boost our immunity and how to empower ourselves to be an active participant in our own medical/health lives. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I will surely be referring to it again and again.

  • This book was really good...It's a great book to give to your Western doctor to enlighten them about other remedies for cancer, high blood pressure, or indigestion.

    ~ The Greenists

  • If you’re just learning about Alternative Medicine or are seeking a quickie review of the subject, Gruver’s book will give you enough to swallow and digest. It’s a worthwhile guide for those interested in navigating the complex waters of alternative medicine.

  • Not only does Gruver’s book introduce you to a wide range of alternative remedies, it also delves into health tips you can practice, to achieve improved health.

    ~ Wellsphere

  • This book is a straight to the point resource for all considering small lifestyle changes for better health. I found it most helpful that it wasn't written in hard-to-pronounce words and was applicable for even the most novice of alternative patients.

~ Review the Book, Tina Evans

  • Gruver's compact guide to Alternative Medicine is great for people "on the fence" or not quite sure whether to embrace the idea. It's a chance to open your eyes to remedies that, in some cases, rely on ingredients direct from earth.

~ Men and Health: It's a guy thing (blog by Scott Keith)

  • If you are looking for a way to handle your health in a natural way, then the book, The Alternative Medicine Cabinet is a must read. This book is a true resource to any health circumstances you might be encountering and breaks down alternative medicine. Kathy is very knowledgeable of natural and holistic living.

~ For The Love of Baby

  • I liked that so many of her suggestions were easy to incorporate and implement; making it easy for young and old! She presents so many aspects of achieving good health that I applaud her ability to explain it and organize it so easily. As a professional I learned more about natural ways to help patients. This book continues to provide resources and education for those who want to help themselves. Her message on how to change is inspiring.

    ~ Kathleen Albertson via reviewthebook.com

  • I love her little book. Basically Gruver covers all the important aspects. Gruver’s knowledge and expertise shines through by giving the skeptic food for thought (pun intended)

    ~ Irene Watson via reviewthebook.com

  • I do feel this would be the perfect book to have on hand or give as a gift to those unfamiliar with the holistic field of natural medicine. The information is invaluable to anyone. It serves as a good reminder even to the current holistic professional to make sure they also take care of themselves, as well as those in their care.

    ~ Ann Hauer via reviewthebook.com

  • Gruver has packed an enormous amount of information, including massage, herbs, homeopathy and lifestyle tips and information, into a small, easily referenced book that should not only be at every bedside/bathroom table, but in every kitchen as well.

    ~ Eileen Casey, Hamptons.com

  • The Alternative Medicine Cabinet is a read well worth considering for those who embrace new age and alternative medicines.

~ James Cox, Midwest Book Review

  • The Alternative Medicine Cabinet is an easy read, but packed with information that everyone should know. This book is well written, covers a lot of information without being boring and is very easy to navigate. If you are interested in natural health to treat your ailments and illnesses, this book would be great for you.
